“SECURA-LITE” is manufactured by Zamil Glass on the most modern laminating plant in the Middle East.

From two or more pieces of annealed or tempered glass, an extensive range of laminated glasses can be produced which will withstand the most arduous safety or security conditions and meets architectural safety or security conditions and meet architectural safety standards on impact resistance anywhere in the world.

“SECURA-LITE” can incorporate a range of annealed or tempered glasses including: clear float glass; tinted and reflective solar control glass; clear or tinted and reflective solar control glass clear or tinted obscure glass and is available with a special acoustic resin for improved noise insulation where necessary.

The manufacturing process
“SECURA-LITE” made using two sheets of glass and one interlayer can be cut to size but multi-laminates are normally manufactured to the size required, however, they can be cut with suitable equipment of necessary.

When “SECURA-LITE” incorporates tempered glass, the exact size is required prior to manufacture as no cutting or working is possible.

Standards
“SECURA-LITE” is available in a wide range of glass combinations which comply with the requirements of BS 6206:1981 for safety and impact resistance; BS 5544:1978 for anti-bandit security glasses; and BS 5051 Pt. 1 1973 for bullet resistant glasses.

(Compliance with British Standards cover the requirements necessary to comply with the equivalent German and American Standards).

Applications
Safety
6.8MM. “SECURA-LITE” is ideal for use in framed doors and windows where safety is of major importance. If the glass should be broken, the resin interlayer firmly bonds the pieces together preventing injury from jagged fragments of glass, and both building security and weather protection are maintained until it is convenient to replace the glass.
