Review of Test*
WARRES No. 70971
Zamil FIRE-GARD was tested as a glazed screen in the configuration shown below. The overall nominal dimensions of the screen was 2995 mm high by 2995 mm wide consisting of six panes of nominally 6 mm thick Zamil FIRE-GARD.

The specimen panel was installed into a refractory concrete lined steel restraint to form the test construction.

Instrumentation and Measuring Equipment
Instrumentation was provided in accordance with requirements of the standard.
• Using thermocouples to monitor the temperature of the furnace atmosphere.
• Pressure sensors within the furnace to monitor furnace atmosphere pressure.
• Thermocouples monitored the temperature of the unexposed surface of the panel.
• Cotton pads and gap gauges to evaluate the impermeability of the specimen to hot gases.
• A water cooled foil flux-metre to record heat radiation from the panel.
