Zamil Glass Industries was established in 1983 in response to the demand for insulating glass. The Zamil family owned ZGI, however in 1998; ZGI along with Zamil Air Conditioners and Zamil Steel Industries became a public company under the name of Zamil Industrial Investment Company. ZGI is now one of the largest and most diversified glass processors in the Middle East. It operates from a modem factory with a processing capacity in excess of one million square meters of glass of all types per year. Ever aware of the special needs of the national, Gulf and export markets, ZGI has followed a continuous program of investment, embracing nearly all aspects of glass processing.

ZGI is an exclusive licensee of Southwall Technologies - for Middle East for Heat Mirror and XIR-Laminated Glass Technology, Stained Glass System - for Middle East for Versa-lite Ceramic Film Technology and Finvetro - for Saudi Arabia & Bahrain for Classic Venetian Blind inside the Insulating Glass Unit.

ZGI has a factory area of 20,000 m2 and employs over 235 employees and can offer services in design concepts, engineering, manufacturing, delivery, erection and installation, as well as providing an excellent after sales service. ZGI's main products are; Tempered Glass, Heat Strengthened Glass, Laminated Glass for Safety and Security Glazing, Glass Fittings, Frameless Glass, Point Fixing Glass Facades, High Performance XIR Laminated and Insulating Glass Units, IGU with Venetian Blinds, Fire-Resistant Glass, Heat Soak Tested Glass, Heat Mirror Energy-Efficient Glass, and Versa-Lite Ceramic Decorative Glass.ZGI has Sales offices: Saudi Arabia - Dammam, Riyadh, Jeddah with Distributors in Al Hassa, Qassim, Abha, Madina and Taif Gulf States Agents - Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Emirates and with other Agents in different countries like Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines.

2002 was an exciting year for Zamil Glass Industries with the major development being the re-engmeenng of the factory. This has seen the major physical transformation from a workshop" type operation into a modem factory with proper production flow. The mere fact that manufacture of all product lines was able to continue while the factory was being rebuilt, was a major accomplishment for the management team and a credit to the whole company.Amongst some of the major advantages resulting from the factory re-organization, have been major improvements in productivity, speed of delivery and the most important of all, customer satisfaction. Orders are being received, transmitted by a brand new computer system, manufactured and dispatched to customers faster than ever before. This very efficient operation of the factory has become general knowledge in the market place and has earned us praise from our existing customers, as well as bringing new ones onboard as word has traveled around.

The next big leap forward for ZGI in 2004 will be the commissioning of our brand new laminated glass line. The future looks good for ZGI as it increases its sales both at home and abroad. A fully approved ISO 9001 company, ZGI manufactures and supplies to international standards and is one of the companies operated by the Zamil Industrial Investment Company.
